Want something more compact? Archos' new 30GB and 100GB AV 500 models measure a mere 3.0" X 4.9". The 30GB is only 0.7" thick and the 100GB 0.9", and both models boast a 4" LCD screen. No skimping on features here; these tiny DVRs do everything their big brothers do.
In addition to AV connectors, Archos DVRs are also USB 2.0 and 1.1 compatible. The Li-ion batteries play up to four hours per charge and are removable, making it easy to pop in a spare on those long flights. You'd probably expect to pay a lot for all this, but Archos DVRs start at less than $460 at online discounters.

Want more than music, photos and video? The 30 GB PMA430 Pocket Media Assistant adds the Internet to your entertainment options. Connect via USB 2.0 or WiFi 802.11b for high-speed browsing, email and instant messaging. The PMA430 sports a 3.5" TFT touch screen with 262,000 colors for near DVD quality video.
Only 4.9" x 3.1" x 0.8" and less than 10 oz., Archos' PMA boasts an incredible array of options including contacts, calendar, calculator and just about anything a desktop computer will do for about $750.
Miniature Data Storage
Archos ARCDisk portable hard drives are the answer to your digital file needs. At only 1.8" X 1.7" X 0.5" the 4 GB ARCDisk will attach to a key ring and quickly plug in with its foldable USB 2.0/1.1 connector.
At about 3" square and less than half an inch thick, the ARCDisk 20 GB and 40 GB drives aren't much larger than flash memory cards, but have many times the storage capacity. Priced from about $135 to $180, Archos portable hard drives are convenient and affordable.
